About Forbidden Word
A team word game in the style of Taboo. Each card has a word to describe and four forbidden words you can't say. Get your team to guess as many as possible in 60 seconds. Decks cover everyday things, places, fun and food, and an optional tricky deck of abstract ideas.
How to play Forbidden Word
- Split into two teams and name them.
- The clue-giver presses Go and describes the word.
- You can't say the word or anything in the red list.
- Tap Guessed or Skip. Break a rule and you must skip.
- Alternate teams. Most points wins.
Tips and strategy
- Use opposites and 'it's like…' comparisons.
- The other team should watch for forbidden words.
