About Checkers
Play checkers (draughts) online against a friend or a bot. Pieces move diagonally, captures are compulsory and multi-jumps chain automatically. Reach the far row to crown a king that moves both ways. The first player to capture or block every enemy piece wins.
How to play Checkers
- Create a room and invite a friend, or add a bot to the empty seat.
- Move a piece one square diagonally forward onto a dark square.
- If you can jump an enemy piece you must. Keep jumping while more captures are available.
- Reach the far row to crown a king, which can move and capture backwards.
- Win by capturing every enemy piece or leaving your rival with no legal move.
Tips and strategy
- Keep your back row filled for as long as you can to stop early kings.
- Trade pieces when you are ahead.
- Pieces on the edges are safe from capture but less flexible.
