About SameGame

The classic SameGame (also known as Clickomania or Chain Shot). Click any group of two or more touching blocks of the same colour to clear it. Blocks above fall down, and empty columns slide together. A group of n blocks scores (n − 2)², so patiently building big groups pays off, and clearing the whole board earns a 1,000-point bonus. Play random boards or the daily board.

How to play SameGame

  1. Click or tap a group of two or more touching blocks of the same colour.
  2. The group vanishes, blocks above drop down and empty columns close up.
  3. Each group scores (blocks − 2)². Hover a group to preview its points.
  4. The game ends when no groups are left. Clear everything for +1,000.

Tips and strategy

  • Clear small groups of other colours to merge one colour into a giant group.
  • Work from the bottom: changes there move everything above.
  • Try to save one colour for a huge final clear.

SameGame FAQ

Why do pairs score nothing?

Scoring is (n − 2)², so a pair is worth 0 and a group of 12 is worth 100. The game rewards planning big groups.

Is there a daily board?

Yes. Switch to Daily board and everyone gets the same layout for the day.

Is SameGame free to play?
