About Darts

A free darts game with a regulation dartboard: trebles, doubles, the 25 and the bull all score exactly as they do in the pub. Play 501 with a double to finish, or Around the Clock from 1 to 20 and the bull. Aim against a gently swaying sight and release to throw. Take on a computer opponent at pub, league or pro level, pass the device to a friend, or play solo and chase the fewest darts to check out.

How to play Darts

  1. Move the sight over the board. On a phone, the sight floats just above your finger so you can see where you're aiming.
  2. Release (or click) to throw. Each visit is three darts.
  3. In 501, count down to exactly zero and finish on a double or the bull. Going below zero, or to 1, is a bust and the visit doesn't count.
  4. In Around the Clock, hit 1 to 20 in order, then the bull.
  5. When you're on a finish, a suggested checkout appears under the board.

Tips and strategy

  • The treble 20 is the high-scoring bed, but the treble 19 is a safer neighbour if you keep drifting left.
  • Leave yourself 32 or 40: they halve cleanly if you hit a single instead of the double.
  • Wait for the sway to drift back toward your target before you let go.

Darts FAQ

Do I have to finish on a double in 501?

Yes. Like the professional game, the last dart must land in a double (the bull counts as double 25). Anything that would leave you on 1 or below zero is a bust.

Can two people play darts on one phone?

Yes. Choose Friend and pass the device between visits. The scoreboard tracks both players' scores and averages.

Is Darts free to play?

Yes. Darts is free in your browser on OFF PLAY, with nothing to download or install.
