Penalty Shootout
Swipe to shoot, tap to save. Five kicks each, then sudden death.
About Penalty Shootout
A free football penalty shootout. When you shoot, swipe from the ball toward the corner you want; curve the swipe to bend it and swipe harder for pace. When you're in goal, tap where to dive as the ball is struck. Five kicks each, then sudden death. Play against a computer keeper from Sunday league to world class, or face a friend on one device: the keeper picks a dive in secret, then hands over to the shooter.
How to play Penalty Shootout
- Shooting: swipe up from the ball toward your target. Where the swipe ends is where you're aiming.
- Swipe faster for a harder shot that's tougher to save, but too wild and it flies over the bar.
- Curve your swipe to bend the ball.
- Keeping: tap the goal where you want to dive, the moment the ball is struck.
- After five kicks each, the shootout goes to sudden death.
Tips and strategy
- Low and hard into the corners is the hardest shot for any keeper.
- A soft shot gives the keeper more time to reach it, even in the corner.
- As keeper, don't commit too early. Watch the ball, not the kicker.
Penalty Shootout FAQ
How do two players take penalties on one phone?
The keeper secretly picks one of six dive zones, then hands the phone to the shooter, who swipes their kick. Then you swap roles.
How is a shootout won?
Most goals after five kicks each wins. It ends early if one side can't catch up, and if it's level after five it goes to sudden death.
Is Penalty Shootout free to play?
