About Dungeon Crawler

A free turn-based roguelike dungeon crawler. Every run generates fresh floors of rooms and corridors hidden in fog. Fight rats, bats, slimes, skeleton archers, wall-walking ghosts and orc brutes, each with its own way of moving. Level up, swap in better weapons and armour, save potions and bombs for emergencies, and face the Stone Warden every fifth floor. Die and the run is over, so every step counts.

How to play Dungeon Crawler

  1. Explore each floor to find the glowing stairs down. Rooms reveal themselves as you see into them.
  2. Walk into a monster to attack it. Every enemy moves when you do, so think one step ahead.
  3. Pick up gold, potions, bombs, map scrolls and better weapons and armour as you go.
  4. Every fifth floor holds the Stone Warden. When its fists glow red, step out of reach.
  5. You have one life. When you fall, your score is gold, floors, kills and level.

Tips and strategy

  • Fight in corridors so only one monster can reach you at a time.
  • Skeleton archers only shoot along straight lines. Approach them diagonally, around corners.
  • Slimes act every other turn: you can often walk away from them.
  • Drink potions before a fight gets desperate, not during the last hit.

Dungeon Crawler FAQ

Is the dungeon different every time?

Yes. Every run builds new floors, monsters and loot. For a shared challenge, play the Daily Dungeon, which is the same for everyone each day.

Can I save a run?

No: it's a roguelite, so a run lasts until you fall. Runs are short enough to finish in one sitting.

Is Dungeon Crawler free to play?

Yes. Dungeon Crawler is free in your browser on OFF PLAY, with nothing to download or install.
