About Gem Miner
An idle mining game. Tap to swing your pickaxe, then hire miners, drills, mine carts and excavators to dig ever deeper. Grow flawless crystals in your gem lab and mine passing asteroids, and catch rare geodes for bonus gems.
How to play Gem Miner
- Tap the big button to earn your first gems.
- Spend gems on producers, from a pickaxe up to asteroid miners. They earn for you every second.
- Buy upgrades to double each producer, and tap upgrades to make every tap count.
- Catch the bonus when it floats past for a lucky windfall or a 30-second frenzy.
- When you've earned enough, strike a new vein to start again with a permanent bonus.
Tips and strategy
- Early on, buy the producer with the best rate for its price, not just the cheapest.
- Upgrades are usually better value than another producer once they unlock.
- Your empire keeps earning at half speed for up to eight hours while you're away.
