About Idle Factory

Build a widget empire. Start at a workbench, hire workers, add conveyor belts and robot arms, and scale up to smart factories, mega plants and a foundry in orbit. Collect patents when you rebuild to boost everything for good.

How to play Idle Factory

  1. Tap the big button to earn your first widgets.
  2. Spend widgets on producers, from a workbench up to an orbital foundry. They earn for you every second.
  3. Buy upgrades to double each producer, and tap upgrades to make every tap count.
  4. Catch the bonus when it floats past for a lucky windfall or a 30-second frenzy.
  5. When you've earned enough, rebuild the factory to start again with a permanent bonus.

Tips and strategy

  • Early on, buy the producer with the best rate for its price, not just the cheapest.
  • Upgrades are usually better value than another producer once they unlock.
  • Your empire keeps earning at half speed for up to eight hours while you're away.

Yes, automatically in your browser every few seconds. Clearing your browser data resets it.

Do I earn while I'm away?

Yes. When you come back you collect half of what you'd have made, for up to eight hours.
