About Zen Sand Garden

A virtual Japanese rock garden for a quiet few minutes. Drag a rake through soft sand to draw flowing lines, switch to a wide rake for big sweeps or a single stick for details, and place stones, some with moss. Tap a stone to rake rings around it, smooth the sand to start over, and turn on gentle wind and chimes if you like. Save your garden as an image when it feels finished. There's no goal and no timer.

How to play Zen Sand Garden

1. Choose the rake and drag across the sand to draw lines.
2. Switch to Stones and tap to place one. Drag to move it, double-tap to remove it.
3. Choose Ripples and tap a stone to rake circles around it.
4. Smooth part of the garden with the smoothing tool, or clear it all.
5. Turn on the ambient sound, and save a picture when you're happy.

Tips and strategy

• Slow, steady strokes make the smoothest lines.
• Try raking around stones first, then fill the open sand with long waves.
• Fewer stones often looks calmer than many.
