Copy the Doodle
See a doodle for four seconds, then draw it from memory. How close can you get?
About Copy the Doodle
A drawing memory game. A simple line doodle (a cat, a rocket, an umbrella and 25 more) flashes up for four seconds, then you redraw it from memory. Your copy is scored out of 100 on shape alone, so size and position don't matter but missing parts and extra scribbles do. See your drawing overlaid on the original after each round and chase a perfect 500 over five doodles. Prefer to practise? Copy mode keeps the doodle on screen.
How to play Copy the Doodle
- Choose From memory (look, then draw) or Copy it (the doodle stays on screen).
- Study the doodle. When it disappears, draw it on the canvas.
- Press Done, or wait for the 40-second timer.
- See your score and an overlay of your drawing on the original. Five doodles make a round.
Tips and strategy
- Remember the parts, not the details: 'circle, two triangles, whiskers'.
- Proportions matter more than neat lines. A wobbly line in the right place scores well.
- Don't add extras. Stray marks cost points.
Copy the Doodle FAQ
How is my drawing scored?
Both drawings are centred and scaled to the same size, then compared line by line: how far the original's lines are from yours and how far yours are from the original's. Careful copies score 90+, a different picture scores close to zero.
Which mode counts for the leaderboard?
Only From memory rounds. Copy mode is for practice.
Is Copy the Doodle free to play?
Yes. Copy the Doodle is free in your browser on OFF PLAY, with nothing to download or install.
