About Symmetry Drawing

A kaleidoscope drawing toy. Every stroke you draw repeats around the centre in 1 to 12 segments, and mirror mode reflects each one too, so a few lines become a mandala, a snowflake or a stained-glass window. Paint with rainbow ink or pick colours, switch between a night and paper background, undo freely, and save your art as a PNG. Your last drawing is kept in your browser.

How to play Symmetry Drawing

  1. Choose how many segments (1–12) and whether to mirror them.
  2. Draw anywhere: each stroke is repeated around the centre.
  3. Switch to rainbow ink, change colour and brush size, or use the eraser.
  4. Save your drawing as a PNG when you're happy with it.

Tips and strategy

  • Start with short curves near the centre, then work outwards in rings.
  • Odd numbers of segments with mirror on look like flowers; 6 looks like a snowflake.
  • Thin white lines on the night background look like lace.
