About Speed Sketch

A fast pass-and-play drawing game for 2 to 8 players. Everyone gets the same thing to draw and only 10, 20 or 30 seconds to draw it. When the last player is done, the sketches are shuffled into an anonymous gallery and each player votes for their favourite, never their own. Votes become points, the round winner gets a bonus, and the best artist after three to eight rounds takes the crown.

How to play Speed Sketch

  1. Add players and choose how many seconds you get and how many rounds to play.
  2. Pass the device: each player gets a 3-2-1 count-in, then draws the word before time runs out.
  3. Look through the anonymous gallery together.
  4. Each player votes for their favourite sketch. One point per vote, plus a bonus for the round winner.

Tips and strategy

  • Go for the one detail that makes it recognisable: a shark's fin, a giraffe's neck.
  • Big, simple shapes read better than tiny details at a glance.
  • Ten seconds is chaos. Try 20 for a first game.
