About Matchstick Equations
Matchstick maths puzzles in your browser. Each equation is wrong, and moving exactly one match makes it right. You can turn a 6 into a 5, a plus into a minus, or a 3 into a 9. Tap a match to pick it up and tap an empty spot to drop it. Play relaxed with hints, or race the 3-minute sprint to fix as many equations as you can for the leaderboard. Every puzzle is checked by a solver.
How to play Matchstick Equations
- Tap a match to pick it up.
- Tap a dashed spot on any digit or sign to drop it there.
- If the equation becomes true, you've solved it.
- Sprint mode: solve as many as you can in three minutes.
Tips and strategy
- Check the plus/minus sign first: one match changes it.
- 8 can lose a match to become 0, 6 or 9.
- Sometimes the match moves within the same digit.
